Allow us to pretend we’re cool by casual association for a minute and mention that J-Ho’s roommate-in-law/Former Michigan Daily Arts Idol/Upright Citizen Improviser/Nice Guy Chris Kula is one of the comedy minds behind Time-Warner’s new humor site Officepirates.com which is launching later this week. Kula’s involvement is more than enough of a seal approval for us and better be for you. As always read his great blog at chriskula.com and see him perform every Saturday night under a grocery store off 8 Ave. at the UCB with Reuben Williams. {JOEL INSERT PHOTOSHOPPED PIRATE PIC OF CHRIS HERE}.

So, will this just be a hipster version of the Monty Python sketch from the beginning of “The Meaning of Life” where the old men sail their entire neo-baroque office block off to do battle as pirates on the high-seas of international finance?
Or will they be focusing on a younger crowd that they presume has never seen this and will believe this idea to be new and original?

After seeing it, I now give this site 6 Months to 1 Year before it is dropped. The content is weak and contrived, at best. There is no way that this venture can be profitable. Guys will not give 2 shits about a men’s magazine that is strictly web-based. Take away the printed Maxim or FHM and their websites would die a quick death too. Kula, look for a new job - quick!!
