Word. The racial dualism is striking, but the plot holes are numerous and after 20 years, I can no longer suspend my disbelieve. I would also like to restate that I loved this movie so, so much when I was younger and my defination of cool was so wrapped up in both Marty McFly and Alex Keaton that I am now trying to distance myself from his Reaganite lameness.
In regards to Ms. Happenstance, I'm sure she'll land on her feet, but I do worry about her hippie-nerd fans? Where will they go? What will they masterbate to now? Her Grambo-like abscence must be even harder for them.

'Back to the Future' is totally awesome. It's such an amazing study of American culture. On one side it seems to be progressive by suggesting the notion of a black mayor (Goldie Wilson) in the 1950s, but on the other, it shows that the White Man can't stand the fact that the Black Man invented rock-n-roll and they feel the need to travel through time to change that fact. It was no accident that Marty went back in time. Plus it shows that making out with your mom is never cool.

I'm actually kind of sad that we got into the blog feud now. I'm glad we won, but I didn't think Stephanie would take it so hard. We broke her spirit, which we never intended.
