Some people just love cancer

I’d rather not tell you where I work. That’s not important to this story. Suffice it to say that where I work large sums of money are exchanged for goods and services on a regular basis. It’s also necessary for you to know that we are currently raising money for a cancer research organization. That’s all you need to know.

Anyway, I overheard the following exchange while a woman was in the process of purchasing around $500 in goods and services:

Associate: Hi, how are you today?
Woman: I’m fine, thank you.
Associate: Would you like to donate $1 to [cancer research organization]?
Woman (thinks, grimaces): No, I don’t think so.

Seriously though, they’re wasting all their time on research instead of putting the old nose to the grindstone finishing the cure.

It’s like, midnight before your paper’s due and you’re still crusing around the ugli looking for books when you could be actually writing the paper. yaknowwhatimean?

I’d also like to point out that they also promised us flying cars and my car can’t fly and also the service engine light is on — which is like insult to injury.

it’s amazing how intricate cancer is. they should instead give money to produce a mob-affiliated agency to beat down peta and similar groups who have setback a great deal of cancer research.
